Our advantages over large law firms

· Our fees are substantially lower than the fees of a large firm. There are four main reasons.

  1. Our hourly rates are lower.
  2. Our staffing of a project is never overloaded with multiple junior associates or multiple levels of support staff.
  3. Our clients are supported by a consistent team that is familiar with the client's needs.
  4. We do not pass along the costs of a huge professional infrastructure that is largely unnecessary to the average client.
· Our resources are devoted to our clients.
  1. We are glad to have clients large and small, and we appreciate and cherish each one.  At larger firms, the longest-term, largest clients get the largest amounts of attention, and other clients often feel neglected and forgotten.
  2. We work with clients small and large, and we understand how to best serve each type and get them the best results.  At larger firms, many of their lawyers have difficulty understanding that their smaller clients are very different from their largest clients, and the lawyers don't know how to be effective in working for them--the lawyers have difficulty in dealing with the fact that their small clients have less bargaining strength, less of a budget, and less time to spend.
  3. As a small firm, our distinguished attorneys actually serve our clients and actively direct all work.  At larger firms, a new client's work is usually assigned to a lower echelon of lawyers that has limited and infrequent contact with its top attorneys and, in fact, some of the most distinguished lawyers are not active in practicing law at all.

· We are dedicated to providing personal service and intent upon being more flexible and cooperative than large firms.

  1. Our firm is willing and able to work with clients of any size.
  2. Our partners are available to our clients to discuss any issue.
  3. Our partners are our decision makers, and there is no "national office" to veto "local" decisions.
  4. If and when an outside specialist is needed, we obtain for our clients the best in class. Large firms attempt to offer a wide variety of resource internally. When their clients need a resource, they are steered to the internal resource firm. Some of their internal resources are weaker than others. Our clients are not captive to our internal resources. Because of our freedom to use the best in class and to go outside our walls if appropriate, our clients are much better served.
